This week the scouts will have the opportunity to obtain 2 of the following 4 badges.

The options are - hobbies, model maker, my faith or musician. Scouts will be expected to have prepared something for the evening.

Scouts must have had a hobby or collection for around 6 months and bring in some of the collection, equipment etc from it to talk to the scouts / leaders about it.

Scouts must bring a model made from a kit, an aeroplane, slot / band powered car, yacht or scenic model, and talk about the process of making it to the scouts / leaders. More details are in the link above.

Scouts can belong to any faith to obtain this badge. They must share something of the origin / history / teachings of their faith, as directed by the above link.

There are five stages to the musician badge. Stage one is for scouts who can play but have not yet achieved any formal exams from the Royal Academy of Music. Stage two involves attaining Grade 1, Stage 5 involves Grade 5. Scouts will need to bring their instruments and be prepared to play at least two pieces in front of some of the other scouts.

If scouts wish to obtain more than two badges, they should discuss this with the leaders on the evening and we will arrange a time later in the term to work towards them.
